The
position is accountable to the Centre Manager and, in turn, to the Board of
Management. The Centre Manager will determine work priorities for the occupant
of the position. In the absence of the Centre Manager, it is envisaged that the
occupant of the position would be required to assume responsibility for the
management of programs, tutors, booking of venues and provide support, direction
and supervision of staff members and the general conduct of the Centre’s
business. This might require that the occupant undertake accountabilities of the
Centre Manager as follows:
Achievement
of requirements of all funding sources including student contact hour and
delivery requirements of Adult, Community and Further Education
Achievement,
including progress toward achievement, of the Board of Management Strategic
Planning initiatives
Contribution to, and achievement of, the established indicators of success, including client satisfaction, profitability, growth & sustainability, success rate on funding submissions, group morale, levels of absenteeism, levels of student re-enrollment, number of registered students, level of re-nomination (of Board Members) to the Board and second contract/continuing contract tutors together with satisfaction on tutor evaluation.

Tasks:
Within the framework of quality
management processes:
Maintain
enrollment recording and reporting database with AVETMISS standards to ensure
data is up-to-date as a priority to enable capacity for timely management
decision-making. Submission of validated statistics in a timely manner
Maintain
continuity processes for the validation of individual enrollments in accordance
with the requirements of the ACFE audit processes. Maintain a proforma for each
course indicating progress to these outcomes
Maintain
student records and archiving to satisfy the requirements of accreditation of a
Registered Training Organisation
Undertake
the planning, publishing, promotion, generation and servicing of the centre’s
programs. As appropriate, liaise with the Centre Manager, staff, tutors,
volunteers and class participants to:
timetable,
plan and prepare courses and programs
facilitate
quality provision and evaluation of courses and programs, and
facilitate the placement and support of students through interview, assessment and counselling
Develop
and monitor stocks and supplies of resource materials and inform staff of
availability and suitability.
Note:
This is a contract position of 30 hours a week. Performance appraisal
will be according to pre-established criteria. The position is based in
Camperdown and the appointee is expected to generate programs in other towns in
the district.
Base
salary will be in accordance with industry determination (PACCT Award)
